The Medical University of Lodz is the largest state medical university in Poland and is concerned with

The quality of teaching remains one of the highest amongst Polish universities, reflected by official inspections and rankings. Students of the Faculty of Medicine have been winners of prestigious awards such as “Medical Laurels” of the Polish Academy of Science and Best Student Awards such as “Primus Inter Pares”.
The focus is always on up-to-date training of medical manpower for work in various communities and national health systems according to the requirements laid down by the Polish Government and the European Union. The university employs almost 1600 research and didactic staff, including 170 full professors, 190 assistant and associate professors as well as nearly 900 PhD academics.
The university has recently dedicated a new clinical and education centre with hospital, hotel and conference centre as well as classrooms and laboratories. Conference facilities house up to 1000 guests.
The Lodz Medical University has over 1600 beds in five teaching hospitals that provide medical services to patients; they are the essential base for research work and undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and training. Other hospital wards and departments with approximately 1200 beds are also used by the university in this regard. The teaching hospitals and affiliated departments constitute a source of highly specialised diagnostic and treatment services for the whole of the Lodz region.

Admission requirements for the Preparatory Premedical Course
High school diploma/secondary school leaving certificate qualifying for admission to a university
Extended level of knowledge (advance placement) in 2 of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics – documented by the above mentioned school leaving certificates/diplomas. The grades required should be above the average.
English competency written and spoken confirmed by the language certificate or the secondary school transcript.
